Costs. Aren't they a funny thing?
If things didn't cost so much, we could do anything. Sky-diving, 40 kids, no work, eat out every night, hire a maid... Living the sweet life. Oh wouldn't that be nice to do nothing and everything all at the same time.
Until.... we crash and burn.
If we didn't work hard and pick and choose where and when we spend our money or time, we probably wouldn't value those amazing things we work so hard to have. In that light, I appreciate cost, and work and chores.
Tonight I was thinking about cost as I was planning and studying for my baby massage classes. I am so intrigued by the research and studies I have found on infant massage that I just read and reread.
I told myself, maybe more people would learn to love Infant Massage like me, if it didn't cost so much to take a class. But honestly, it's worth every penny.
I flew to Oregon in the middle of one of the hardest semesters of my life, ended up paying over a thousand dollars to get certified and start this adventure. I don't regret one penny. Even, if I just change one life, it'll be worth it. Sometimes cost sets us back and that's okay. Sometimes cost sets us back and we miss out on amazing opportunities.
I'm glad I save most of my pennies. I'm also glad I use my hard earned money on valuable things, like becoming a Certified Educator of Infant Massage. Slowly but surely we're going to make a difference in lives with Infant Massage. I truly believe that. I know that is true because my life has already been changed for the better from the knowledge I gain each day.
